Meet the 12-Year-Old Being Compared to Usain Bolt
Jamaican born Brianna Lyston is just two seconds off the 200m senior world record set by Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988 ... and she is only 12 years old!
Already Brianna is being compared to Olympic superstar Usain Bolt. She dominated the 100m and 200m events, easing up just before the finish line at the Boys and Girls Championships, just like Bolt.
She trains every day of the week after school and sometimes on the weekend. At age 10, she won the 300m at the Caribbean Union Teachers Championships in Trinidad and Tobago with a time of 42.1 seconds – which was over one second faster than the winner of the boy’s race!
With such success at such a young age, there is no doubt we will be seeing Brianna dominating the Olympic Games in the future.
