Chloe Dalton's learnings from three pro sports and an Olympic gold meda‪l‬

Since the launch of AFLW we’ve been seeing many dual-sport athletes, as female stars switch between codes. But what about a career that crosses THREE professional sports?

Our guest Chloe Dalton played with the Sydney Flames in the WNBL, won an Olympic gold medal with the Australian Rugby 7s in 2016 and just finished her first year with Carlton in the AFL women’s league in 2019. Pretty incredible.

Chloe talks about the reasons why she transitioned between three sports, and how she did it - what skills transferred, what she had to learn, and what challenges she had to overcome - physically and psychologically.

There’s a lot of great insights here for anyone about personal development, adaptability, working with different team dynamics, cultures and personalities.

We cover a lot of ground in this chat … also talking about that gold medal moment, whether a switch back to Rugby 7s is on the cards and juggling all of this while building a physiotherapy career.
