Connecting with PickStar:
The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is an exciting, non-competitive event where kids between 7-15 years old compete in a triathlon with swimming, cycling and running courses.
The TRYathlon has been running for over 20 years and has grown into a major annual event with more than 16,000 Aussie children participating each year.
To boost the profile of this year's event The Gemba Group reached out to PickStar to help secure sports stars to participate in different activities across the day and create memorable experiences for participants.
PickStar were able to quickly recommend ideal candidates for the job who were able to attend the events across three states.
The TRYathlon events were a big success. In Perth, Neil spent the day at the Stirling Leisure Centres/Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre motivating kids before their swimming course and handing out medals to proud race finishers.
At the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Brittany, Hugh, Laura and Brendan cheered on the kids as they swam, cycled and ran their way through the day. The kids were particularly excited to capture the moment with fun photos and group selfies!
Especially with Josh himself completing the TRYathlon in 1999, he was an instant hit who inspired the kids and showed the potential for them to transform their casual TRYathlon skills into a professional career.
Event organisers were very happy with the athletes’ enthusiasm and loved how the sports stars went above and beyond to enhance the experience of the participants.
Sports stars are the perfect way to boost your next community event!
